What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.99) ORDER 2025.

NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, on 4th August 2025 made the above Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2025. The Order will:
1. Introduce 6.6 metre long disabled badge holder only parking bays outside No’s 37 Stockingstone Road, 52 Belmont Road, 62 Holland Road, 58 Maple Road West, 121 Devon Road.
2. Remove a disabled badge holder only parking bay from outside No’s 50 Kent Road, 39 Chatsworth Road, 82 Talbot Road, 57 Beadlow Road.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers contained in the above Act or any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
