What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(CLEVELAND STREET) (TEMPORARY

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding along the following stretches of roads on the dates and times stipulated below:
It is anticipated that the below temporary road suspension will be in place from 08:00 on the 13 August 2025 until 17:00 on the 17 August 2025 (approximately):

* Bus Lane Suspended on Cleveland Street, from the junction of Cleveland Passage to opposite the junction of Summer Row.
* Right Hand Turn suspended from Cleveland Street on to Summer Row.
* The vehicular diversion route is: Snow Hill, Temple Street.

It is anticipated that the below temporary road suspension will be in place from 08:00 on the
18 August 2025 until 17:00 on the 29 August 2025 (approximately):

* Bus Lane Closed on Cleveland Street, from the junction of Cleveland Passage to opposite the junction of Summer Row.
* Left Hand Turn suspended from Cleveland Street on to Bell Street.

The vehicular diversion route is: Summer Row, Temple Street, Worcester Street, Ring Road, School Street, Pitt Street, Worcester Street, Temple Street, Summer Row, Cleveland Street

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months.

The Order is required to facilitate a new electricity install and connection by Last Mile Electricity Limited.
