What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
BIRDINGBURY ROAD & FRANKTON ROAD, BIRDINGBURY
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Back Lane (Birdingbury) to Bourton Road (Frankton).
Reason for Order: To enable works for piling and structural bridge repairs.
Order Commences: 4 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 15 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Birdingbury Road, Bourton Lane, Main Street (Bourton), Princethorpe Road, Rugby Road, Oxford Road, Birdingbury Road, Marton Road, Main Street (Birdingbury), Frankton Road and vice versa. Access to frontages will be maintained as safety on site and works permit.

B40990 WILLES ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road closed between St Mary’s Road and the A425.
Reason for Order: Drainage repair and installations works, closed 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 2 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 3 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: St Mary’s Road, A425 and vice versa.

THE APPROACH, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to disconnect gas service.
Order Commences: 6 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 8 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Baker Avenue, Tachbrook Road, Kingsway, The Approach and vice versa.

LILLINGTON ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from A445 roundabout to property no 172.
Reason for Order: To enable works to rectify defect from previous works.
Order Commences: 5 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 7 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Leicester Lane, Kenilworth Road, Rugby Road, Cubbington Road, Lillington Road and vice versa.

GROVE STREET, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to renew a water sluice valve.
Order Commences: 4 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 6 August 2025
Access & Diversion: Grove Street, Warwick Street, Dale Street, Regent Street and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
A425 BANBURY ROAD, BISHOPS TACHBROOK
Order Effect: One Way Traffic will be imposed from the junction with Barford Road to Greys Mallory Roundabout. Traffic flow toward Warwick will be unaffected, traffic leaving Warwick will be diverted.
Reason for Order: To enable carriageway widening, realignment of water course and installing new street furniture.
Order Commences: 18 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 19 December 2025.
Access & Diversion: Banbury Road, Gallows Hill, Europa Way.

BURY ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic Between its junctions with Tachbrook Road and Westlea Road. Please note: Works will be carried out in phases.
Reason for Order: To enable new electricity cabling works.
Order Commences: 17 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 10 October 2025.
Access & Diversion: Will be appropriately signed.

D2310 HOWCOMBE LANE, NAPTON ON THE HILL
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from New Street to Poplar Road.
Reason for Order: Footway resurfacing and associated works, 09.00hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 18 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: New Street, High Street, Hackwell Street, Vicarage Road, Butt Hill, A425, Brickyard Road, Poplar Road and vice versa.

D71110 BERTIE ROAD, KENILWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed between Station Road and the A452.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching works, closed 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 17 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 17 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Clockwise: A452, Southbound A452, Northbound A452, Warwick Road, The Square, Abbey End, Abbey Hill, Southbank Road. Anti Clockwise: A452, Abbey Hill, Southbank Road.

GERRARD STREET, WARWICK
Order Effect: Traffic will be temporarily prohibited from turning right from Gerrard Street onto Castle Hill.
Reason for Order: For the safety of road users while laying of new broadband ducting is in progress.
Order Commences: 16 August 2025 for up to 18 months
Anticipated Completion: 17 August 2025
Access & Diversion: Castle Hill and vice versa.

MALLORY ROAD, BISHOPS TACHBROOK
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic
Reason for Order: To enable boundary box renewal works.
Order Commences: 18 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 19 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Mallory Road, Church Hill, Oakley Wood Road, Banbury Road and vice versa.

OFFCHURCH ROAD, CUBBINGTON
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from property number 41 to Ladycroft.
Reason for Order: To safely enable fibre overhead cabling works.
Order Commences: 20 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 20 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Offchurch Road, Windmill Hill, Rugby Road, Cubbington Road, Lillington Road, Lillington Avenue, Kenilworth Road, Clarendon Avenue, Parade, Victoria Terrace, Bath Street, High Street, Radford Road, Southam Road, Offchurch Lane, Welsh Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC CYCLEPATH MYTON ROAD, WARWICK
Order Effect: Cycleway closed to ALL traffic outside property number 191.
Reason for Order: To enable disconnection of a gas service.
Order Commences: 19 August 2025 for up to 6 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Cyclists should dismount

SANDY LANE, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from North Leamington School entrance way to exit way.
Reason for Order: New electricity supply works.
Order Commences: 18 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 29 August 2025.
Access & Diversion: Sandy Lane, Stoneleigh Road, Westhill Road, Leicester Lane and vice versa.

TACHBROOK ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic southbound between its junctions with High Street/Old Warwick Road and Bury Road. Vehicular traffic will be prohibited from making a left turn from High Street into Tachbrook Road and prohibited from making a right turn from Old Warwick Road into Tachbrook Road.
Reason for Order: To enable electrical ducting works.
Order Commences: 18 August 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 7 September 2025. Access & Diversion: Old Warwick Road, Myton Road, Europa Way, Harbury Lane, Tachbrook Road and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
