(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS

IN BEECH HILL SERVICE ROAD, LILLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Beech Hill Service Road, Lilley from its junction with A505 Offley Bypass north eastwards to its junction with Lilley Bottom, a distance of approximately 204m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A505 (Offley Bypass/Moormead Hill/Offley Road/Upper Tilehouse Street), the A505 Old Park Road roundabout, A505 (Upper Tilehouse Street/Offley Road/Moormead Hill/Offley Bypass), Offley Hill, Luton Road, Hollybush Hill and Lilley Bottom.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN STEVENAGE, BENDISH, WHITWELL, LANGLEY, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY, LUFFENHALL, LITTLE WYMONDLEY, BALDOCK, ST PAULS WALDEN, WESTON, ST IPPOLYTS, HITCHIN, RUSHDEN, PIRTON, OAKLANDS, KNEBWORTH AND GOSMORE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A602 Hitchin Road, Stevenage from its junction with the Coreys Mill Lane roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 602m.

An alternative route will be via A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill), A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road/Royston Bypass), A10 (Melbourn Road/Priory Lane/Barkway Street/London Road/Ermine Street/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road) and A602 (Westmill Road/Towlands Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Bradwell Way/Monskwood Way/Six Hills Way/Lytton Way/Hitchin Road) or via A602 (Hitchin Road/Lytton Way/Monskwood Way/Lytton Way/Six Hills Way/Monskwood Way/Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Westmill Road/Wadesmill Bypass/A10 (unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Ermine Street/London Road/Market Hill/Priory Lane/Melbourn Road), A505 (Royston Bypass/Baldock Road/Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), B197 (Jacks Hill/High Street/Graveley Road) and A602 Hitchin Road.

2. that length of Law Hall Lane, Bendish from its junction with C27 (unnamed road), south eastwards to its junction with Lilley Bottom (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 1097m.

An alternative route will be via C27 (unnamed road), Pasture Lane, Lower Road and Law Hall Lane.

3. that length of 5U106 (unnamed road), Whitwell/Langley Lane, Langley from its junction with C29 (unnamed road) north westwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with B656 London Road, a distance of approximately 2074m.

An alternative route will be via C29 (unnamed road), Bullocks Hill, B651 Whitwell Road and Langley Lane.

4. that length of Baldock Lane, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with A505 Letchworth Gate north eastwards to its junction with Willian Road, a distance of approximately 1176m.

An alternative route will be via A505 Letchworth Gate, B656 (Baldock Road/Letchworth Road), Weston Way and Willian Road.

5. that length of 3U1951 (unnamed road)/Luffenhall, Luffenhall from its junction with C14 (unnamed road) north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Newell Lane, a distance of approximately 656m.

An alternative route will be via C14 (unnamed road), B1037 White Hill, The Heath and Newell Lane.

6. that length of Blakemore End Road, Little Wymondley from its junction with the Arch Road roundabout south westwards, southwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 902m.

An alternative route will be via Stevenage Road, A602 Stevenage Road, B656 London Road, Sperberry Hill and Stevenage Road.

7. that length of 5U1069 (unnamed road), Letchworth Garden City from its northernmost junction with Norton Road north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 268m.

An alternative route will be via Norton Road.

8. that length of Wallington Road, Baldock from its junction with Clothall Public Bridleway No.028 south westwards and north westwards to its junction with the B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road/Baldock Bypass roundabout, a distance of approximately 450m.

An alternative route will be via Wallington Road, Kits Lane, The Street, C10 (unnamed road), Redhill, Roe Green, Rushden Road, C108 (unnamed road), Fears Green, North End, Kelshall Tops, Therfield Road, Baldock Road and A505 (Baldock Road/Royston Road/Baldock Bypass) or via B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road/Baldock Road), Baldock Road, Therfield Road, Kelshall Tops, North End, Fears Green, C108 (unnamed road), Rushden Road, Roe Green, Redhill, C10 (unnamed road), The Street, Kits Lane and Wallington Road.

9. that length of Church Lane, St Pauls Walden from its junction with B651 Whitwell Road north westwards to its junction with St Pauls Walden Public Footpath No.009, a distance of approximately 543m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

10. that length of Symonds Green Lane, Stevenage from its junction with Eastbourne Avenue north westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 382m.

11. that length of Chalk Hills, Baldock from its junction with Hatch Lane north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with B197 London Road, a distance of approximately 728m.

An alternative route will be via Hatch Lane, Green End, Ashanger Lane, A507 Clothall Road, South Road and B197 London Road.

12. that length of Damask Green Road, Weston from its junction with Weston Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Hitchin Road, a distance of approximately 1546m.

An alternative route will be via Weston Road, Calder Way, Orwell Avenue, Great Ashby Way, Weston Road, A1072 Martins Way, A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill), Lannock Hill and Hitchin Road.

13. that length of Folly Lane, St Ippolyts from its junction with Sperberry Hill north westwards to its junction with Stevenage Road, a distance of approximately 318m.

An alternative route will be via Sperberry Hill, B656 London Road, Stevenage Road and Folly Lane.

14. that length of Charlton Road, Hitchin from its junction with Willow Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 763m.

An alternative route will be via Charlton Road, A602 Park Way, Gosmore Road, Hitchin Road, High Street, Maydencroft Lane and Charlton Road.

15. that length of Bennetts Lane/Southern Green, Rushden from its junction with C5 (unnamed road) eastwards, north eastwards, north eastwards, eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Broadfield Lodge Farm Road, a distance of approximately 1930m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works

16. that length of Walnut Tree Road/Royal Oak Lane, Pirton from its junction with West Lane north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards and northwards to its junction with Hitchin Road, a distance of approximately 904m.

An alternative route will be via West Lane, Shillington Road, Priors Hill and Hitchin Road.

17. that length of 5U271 (unnamed road), St Pauls Walden from its junction with No Name Road north westwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Bullocks Hill, a distance of approximately 770m.

An alternative route will be via No Name Road and Bullocks Hill.

18. that length of Wych Elm Lane, Oaklands/Gipsy Lane, Knebworth from its junction with Spinney Lane north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Stockens Green, a distance of approximately 706m.

An alternative route will be via Wych Elm Lane, Bridge Road, B197 London Road, Gun Road and Stockens Green.

19. that length of Thistley Lane, Gosmore from its junction with Preston Road south eastwards to its junction with St Albans Highway, a distance of approximately 579m.

An alternative route will be via Preston Road, Hitchin Road, School Lane and St Albans Highway.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near these roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.3-101 LONDON ROAD, BALDOCK) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.3-101 London Road, Baldock from its junction with Anchor Road north westwards to its junction with B197 London Road, a distance of approximately 18m* (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via the service road fronting Nos.3-101 London Road and B197 London Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF A1155 FAIRLANDS WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the south east side of A1155 Fairlands Way, Stevenage from a point 25m north east of its junction with Bedwell Crescent north eastwards for a distance of approximately 99m* (“the Cycle Track”).

Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTWAY SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF B197 NORTH ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the west side of B197 North Road, Stevenage from a point 168m north west of its junction with Whitney Drive north westwards for a distance of approximately 82m (“the Footway”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of B197 North Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Footway.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footway.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BAINES LANE, KNEBWORTH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Baines Lane, Knebworth from its junction with Swangleys Lane north eastwards to its junction with Bury Lane, a distance of approximately 402m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Baines Lane, Rectory Lane, Patchwood Green, Watton Road, Hawkins Hall Lane and Bury Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HITCHIN) ORDER NO.3 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Highbury Road, Hitchin from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.16 Highbury Road southwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m, except for access.

An alternative route will be via Highbury Road, B656 (Walsworth Road/Queen Street), Hollow Lane and Highbury Road or via Highbury Road, Whitehill Road, Hollow Lane, B656 (Queen Street/Walsworth Road) and Highbury Road.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from Hollow Lane into Highbury Road, Hitchin whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via Highbury Road, Whitehill Road, Hollow Lane, B656 (Queen Street/Walsworth Road) and Highbury Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the road fronting Nos.139–165 Chells Way, Stevenage from a point 16m south west of its junction with Chells Way south eastwards and then northwards for a distance of approximately 92m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 August 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH WEST SIDE OF NOS.202–220 BUDE CRESCENT, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the south west side of Nos.202–220 Bude Crescent, Stevenage from a point 136m south east of its junction with Bude Crescent north eastwards for a distance of approximately 36m (“the Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the south west side of Nos.202–220 Bude Crescent, the footway situated on the south east side of Bude Crescent, the footpath situated on the north east side of Nos.246–222 Bude Crescent and the footpath/cycle track situated on the west side of A1072 Gunnels Wood Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 August 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.
