Arboretum Road, Kinnear Rise, Kinnear Road, East Fettes Avenue, Fettes Rise & Rocheid Park in Edinburgh - Changes to Parking & Parking Charges
What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO. _) ORDER 202_ - TRO/24/11D
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, to:(a) remove the following streets from priority parking area B3 and introduce them into Controlled Parking Zone N2 operating from 08.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (i) Arboretum Rd, (ii) Kinnear Rise & (iii) Kinnear Rd, (b) introduce East Fettes Ave, Fettes Rise & Rocheid Pk to Controlled Parking Zone N3, operating from 08.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Specific details are shown in the proposed map tiles. Some restrictions will operate for longer periods and some will operate 24 hours of the day (e.g. disabled bays, double yellow lines); (c) introduce a Permit Parking Area (P026) in Rocheid Pk; (d) introduce or amend waiting restrictions in Arboretum Rd, East Fettes Ave, Fettes Rise, Kinnear Rise, Kinnear Rd & Rocheid Pk; (e) introduce or amend pay and display, shared use and permit parking places in Arboretum Rd; East Fettes Ave, Kinnear Rise & Kinnear Rd; (f) replace limited waiting bays with pay and display parking places in Arboretum Rd & Kinnear Rd; (g) introduce or amend permits for residents, visitors, retailers and businesses; (h) introduce or amend charges associated with the zone in respect of pay and display parking and permits for residents, visitors, businesses and retailers. Charges are as set out in Schedule 1. Refund rates are as set out in Schedule 2.

Documents can also be viewed at Waverley Court Reception, 4 East Market St, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG between 9:30am & 3:30pm Mon-Fri during the same period. Objectors must complete the form found via the “Proposals in consultation” link to the Order referred to above or state their reasons in writing quoting reference TRO/24/11D, to Traffic Orders at the above address, not later than 29/08/2025. Objections should state the name and full address of the objector. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any specific location/s or element/s of the proposal, it would be helpful if you could identify them in your submission.
