Barrack Hill, Little Birch, Temporary Road Closur Due To Cable Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U71609, Barrack Hill, Little Birch, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U71609, Barrack Hill, Little Birch, adjacent to Yew Tree Cottage. Grid Ref: 350491/232328.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U71603 onto the C1263 onto the U71616 onto the C1261 onto the U71609 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to cable diversion works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 26th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
