CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(ORCHARD WAY, LOWER STONDON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Orchard Way, Lower Stondon outside number 9.

This temporary closure is required to enable comms pipe repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 22 August 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Church Street, Clifton.

This temporary closure is required to enable pre patching and micro asphalt works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 18 August to 2 September 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Broad Street, Church Street and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire lengths of George Street, Shefford and Bloomfield Drive, Shefford.

This temporary closure is required to enable pre patching and micro asphalt works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Broad Street, Clifton outside number 72.

This temporary closure is required to enable mains connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6pm on the 4th August 2025 to 6am on the 5th August 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Clifton Road, B659, A507, Hitchin Road, Shefford Road and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bull Street, Potton outside numbers 18 to 20.

This temporary closure is required to enable sewer connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 18 to 22 August 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Sun Street and Chapel Street and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. This temporary closure is required to enable junction rearrangement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 August 2025 to 29 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 4 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6 pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Potton Road, Wrestlingworth between number 4 Potton Road and High Street and High Street, Wrestlingworth between number 49 High Street and The Chequers Public House.

This temporary closure is required to enable pedestrian improvements/traffic calming works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 29 August 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Hatley Road, Sutton Road, Biggleswade Road, Cambridge Road, High Street and vice versa.
