Capler Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Wall Rebuild Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1273, Capler Lane, Fownhope, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the CI273, Capler Lane, Fownhope, from the junction of the B4224, then southwards for approximately 50 metres. Grid Ref: 358076/234323.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Capler Lane onto the C1272, onto the B4224 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to wall rebuild works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 26th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks.
