Haywood, Callow, Temporary Road Closure Due To Supply Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1228 Portway To Haywood, Callow, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1228 Portway To Haywood, Callow, near to the rear of the Toyota garage. Grid Ref: 349745/23544.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A49 onto the C1226 onto the C1228 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to alteration of supply works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 26th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 4 days.
