What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U3038 Beaufort Crescent, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Beaufort Crescent – for its full extent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 4 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 and 5 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C23 Chick Hill, Pett)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Trooli to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Chick Hill – from the junction with C92 Pett Level Road to the junction with C23 Pett Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 4 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 6 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6707 All Saints Lane, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

All Saints Lane – from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to the junction with C346 Turkey Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C346 Turkey Road – A269 Ninfield Road.

The Order commenced 28 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 8 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6598 St Georges Road, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

St Georges Road – from the junction with A269 London Road to the junction with U6598 Sewell Avenue.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 London Road – B2182 Holliers Hill – U6598 Barrack Road, Crowmere Avenue, St Georges Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 4 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 and 5 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6955 Bluemans Lane, Westfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bluemans Lane – from the junction with U6629 Moat Lane to the junction with A21(T) Kent Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6629 Moat Lane – A21(T) Kent Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 4 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 15 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3116 Fernside Avenue, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Fernside Avenue – from the junction with B2092 Harley Shute Road to the junction with U3115 Gillsmans Park.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2092 Harley Shute Road – C263 Gillsmans Hill – U3115 Gillsmans Park and vice versa.

The Order commences 6 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 and 7 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6939 Church Lane, Northiam)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Church Lane – from the junction with A28 Main Street to the junction with U6631 Beales Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Main Street, Station Road – U6631 Beales Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 4 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 6 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A28 Cackle Street, Brede)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.3

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Cackle Street – from the junction with B2089 Chitcombe Road to the junction with A28 Brede Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2089 Chitcombe Road, Tank Hill, Whorne Woods, Catts Green – B2165 Cripps Corner Road – B2244 Compasses, Hawkhurst Road, Sandrock Hill, The Street, Tollgate Road – A21(T) New Road, Whydown Hill, Kent Street, Ebdens Hill – A28 Westfield Lane, Church Lane, Main Road, Brede Road, Brede Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 August and 19 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3101 Bulverhythe Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bulverhythe Road – from the junction with A259 Bexhill Road to the junction with U3101 Arnside Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Bexhill Road – U3101 Bulverhythe Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 18 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 18 August and 26 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C933 Bishops Lane, Robertsbridge)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bishops Lane – from the junction with C18 Station Road to the junction with U6983 Heathfield Gardens.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Station Road, High Street, George Hill – C933 Bishops Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 18 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C23 Pett Road, Pett)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Pett Road – from the junction with C23 Chick Hill to the junction with U6419 Elms Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C23 Chick Hill – C92 Pett Level Road, Battery Hill, Fairlight Road – A259 Old London Road, Rye Road – A259(T) Winchelsea Road – C23 Friars Hill, Pett Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 19 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6631 Beales Lane, Northiam)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Beales Lane – from the junction with A28 Station Road to the junction with U6939 Church Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Station Road, Main Street – U6939 Fullers Lane, Church Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 18 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 18 and 22 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
