Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Due To Substation Trenching Works
What is happening?
Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: LCR72000 Greenway Cycleway, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use of the Greenway Cycleway, Hereford, from 352484/352484to 352602/238559.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the Greenway Cycleway onto Holme Lacy Road onto Fir Tree Lane onto Vincent Carey Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to NGED substation trenching works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 11th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 12 days.
