Bedlam Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Drainage Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U94412, Bedlam Road, Bleathwood, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U94412, Bedlam Road, Bleathwood, from The Hall House to Northwood. Grid Ref: 355291/269930.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Bedlam Road onto the C1053, onto the C1054, onto Bedlam Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to drainage works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 26th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
