Marden, Temporary Road Closure Due To Repair Works
What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1122 From C1120 To Wellington Crossing, Marden, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1122 From C1120 To Wellington Crossing, Marden, 50 metres either side of Laystone bridge. Grid Ref: 351807/247679.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1122 onto the C1120, onto the C1126, onto the C1125, onto the A4103, onto the A49, onto the C1122 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to bridge repair works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 11th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
