What is happening?

(SANQUHAR RIDING OF THE MARCHES) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGUALTION ORDER) ORDER 2025 

The Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close various roads in Sanquhar between 8/8/25 and 17/8/25. The closures are necessary to facilitate activities associated with the Riding of the Marches. Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained.

Note in addition to these events Sanquhar ride out events between 10/8/25 and 16/8/25. Drivers should expect minor delays for the duration of these events. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

(DUNSCORE GALA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGUALTION ORDER) ORDER 2025 

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close various roads in Dunscore 9/8/25, 12:30 to 13:00. Parade route: U376n Holm Road, B729, C37n Kirkgate, C111n. The closure is necessary to facilitate the Dunscore Gala Parade. No alternative route is available. Minor delays should be expected for the duration of parade. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U723N FRIARS VENNEL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2025 

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the U723n Friars Vennel, Dumfries, Outside No.54, New Oriental Restaurant from 08:00 on 11/08/25 – 23:59 on 15/08/25. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate sewer repair works. Alternative route available via Irish Street, Bank Street and Whitesands. Emergency access will be available. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
