Multiple roads, Exford - Temporary Closure due to drainage works
What is happening?
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Mill Lane - from the junction with Hillhead Cross To Porlock Post, south-westwards for a distance of 10 metres; Hillhead Cross To Lucott Cross - from the junction with Mill Lane, northwards for a distance of 92 metres and Hillhead Cross To Porlock Post - from the junction with Mill Lane, north-eastwards for a distance of 12 metres. A total distance of 114 metres.
This Order will enable Kier to carry out drainage works on behalf of Somerset Highways. The Order becomes effective on 22 August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 26 August 2025 and last until 29 August 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 4 days.
