NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDERS

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

Hook Norton Footpath No. 21 (part) & Footpath No. 41 Modification Order 2025

On the 23 July 2025, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: –

From Footpath No. 41 at OS grid reference SP 3617 3380 running east for approximately 15 metres to the existing western end of Footpath No. 21 at SP 3619 3380;

and from Station Road, Hook Norton, at OS grid reference SP 3617 3358 running generally north for approximately 287 metres to Footpath No. 19 at SP 3617 3386.

Hornton Footpath No. 13 (part) Modification Order 2025

On the 23 July 2025, Oxfordshire County Council confirmed without modification the above order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: –

Adding to them the public footpath from Eastgate at OS grid reference SP 3939 4509 leading north north west for approximately 22 metres to the existing southern end of Hornton Footpath No. 13 at SP 3939 4511.

The orders as confirmed become operative on the date of confirmation but if a person aggrieved by an order wants to question its validity, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from the 23 July 2025, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

Horspath Footpath No. 17 Modification Order 2025

The above Order made on the 21 July 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by: –

Adding to them the public footpath from Horspath Footpath No. 12, NW of Coopers Yard, at OS grid reference SP 5699 0501, running south south west for approximately 45 metres to SP 5697 0498 and west north west for approximately 15 metres to College Way at SP 5696 0498.

Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to Countryside Access Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or countrysideaccesslegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk not later than 12 September 2025 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
