NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

The Oxfordshire County Council,

Boarstall Footpath No. 18 (part) & Horton-cum-Studley Footpath No. 9 (part), Public Path Diversion Order 2025

On 21 July 2025, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The Order’s effect is to divert, as shown on the Order map: -

Boarstall FP18 running from OS Grid Ref SP 6098 1381 east-north-east for 105m to SP 6107 1386 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 6100 1379 east-north-east for 18m via SP 6102 1379 to SP 6102 1380, and north-east for 86m via SP 6104 1383 to SP 6107 1386;

Horton-cum-Studley FP9 running from OS Grid Ref SP 6092 1373 north-east for 100m to SP 6098 1381 to a new line running from OS Grid Ref SP 6092 1373 east-north-east for 98m via SP 6099 1378 to SP 6100 1379.

The above Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 31 July 2025 make an application to the High Court.
