Beacon Road, Minehead - Temporary Closure due to pole renewal works
What is happening?
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Beacon Road - from the junction with Church Road to the junction with Burgundy Road. A total distance of 260 metres.
This Order will enable Openreach to carry pole renewal works. The Order becomes effective on 22 August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 27 August 2025 and last until 27 August 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
