Gloucestershire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE C148 HIGH STREET
(WITHINGTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C148 High Street Road, from its junction with Chedworth Road to outside the Primary School for a distance of approximately 131 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 4th August 2025 until 28th August 2025 or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency access and pedestrian access to premises on or next to the said road will not be maintained due to the works taking place in a narrow lane.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C152 FOSSEWAY TO THE OLD MILL FOSSERBRIDGE
(COLN ST DENNIS PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C152 Fosseway to the Old Mill Fossebridge Road from outside the property known as “Hamblett House” to outside the property known as “Brook Cott’s” for a distance of approximately 251 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to relocate a cable in the carriageway.
The said road is expected to be closed each day between 08:00hrs and 16:45hrs each day, from 18th August 2025 until 20th August 2025 or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 501452 CHURCH STREET
(AVENING PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) part of the 501452 Church Street from its junction with High Street to outside the property known as ‘No.51 Church Street’ for a distance of approximately 75 metres (“the Road”).
The Road falls Avening Parish in the Cotswold District and in the County of Gloucestershire;
The reason for the closure is for safety during urgent roof replacement works.
The road was originally closed for 5 days by Notice which commenced on the 21st July 2025. The works have not been completed, and it has been necessary to make an Order. This Order can close the road for up to 18 months from the date of the notice, or until the works have been completed. Pedestrian access and emergency access is to be maintained.
