Gloucester Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles Egress For Works
What is happening?

(GLOUCESTER STREET, EASTVILLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Gloucester Street which extends from Fishponds Road south eastwards for 40 metres; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a south easterly direction in Gloucester Street, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 11th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 11th August 2025 and 29th August 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Fishponds Road, Muller Road, Eastville Roundabout M32 Junction 2, Muller Road, Fishponds Road, Royate Hill, Edward Street, Gloucester Street (part unaffected)
(HARTCLIFFE ROAD, KNOWLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles and pedestrians that length of Hartcliffe Road which extends from Bantry Road to Filwood Broadway.
Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles and pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of road as specified above.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 11th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 11th August 2025 and 28th August 2025).

Vehicles: Eastbound – Bantry Road, Barnstaple Road, Filwood Broadway, Creswicke Road, Filwood Broadway
Westbound – Filwood Broadway, Barnstaple Road, Bantry Road

(HERKOMER CLOSE AND THORNYCROFT CLOSE, LOCKLEAZE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (THORNYCROFT CLOSE, LOCKLEAZE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:-
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and
2. to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 18th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 18th August 2025 and 28th November 2025).

(ALFRED HILL, KINGSDOWN, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Alfred Hill which extends from Horfield Road to its closed end.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 18th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 18th August 2025 and 7th September 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: None – No through road
(BELLUTON ROAD, KNOWLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Belluton Road which extends from the common boundary line of No.39 and No.41 Belluton Road to the common boundary line of No.49 and No.51 Belluton Road.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 26th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 26th August 2025 and 28th August 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Belluton Road (part unaffected), Wells Road, Rookery Road, Bayham Road, Belluton Road (part unaffected) and vice versa
