What is happening?

(CATTLE MARKET ROAD, REDCLIFF AND FEEDER ROAD, ST. PHILIPS, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a generally easterly direction in Cattle Market Road, so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 1st September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 1st September 2025 and 15th December 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Temple Gate, Bath Bridge Roundabout, Bath Road, Totterdown Bridge, Albert Road

(REDCROSS LANE, ST. JUDES, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Redcross Lane from Old Market Street to Redcross Street.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath and will be operative from 29th August 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of that period, but only as necessitated by the works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Old Market Street, Lawford Street, Redcross Street and vice versa
(BOURNEVILLE ROAD AND JOHNSONS ROAD, WHITEHALL, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 1st September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 1st September 2025 and 10th October 2025 – please see Schedule 2 below for more details).

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 543, AVONMOUTH, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Public Right of Way 543 which extends from Severn Road south westwards for 300 metres.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and will be operative from 1st September 2025 for a maximum period of six months.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Public Right of Way 543 (part unaffected), Public Right of Way 543a, Smoke Lane, Chittening Road, Severn Road, Foot and Cyclepath from Seabank Gas Works to Severn Road, Severn Road and vice versa
(EXETER ROAD, SOUTHVILLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:-
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Exeter Road which extends from the common boundary line of No.22 and No.24 Exeter Road to the common boundary line of No.36 and No.38 Exeter Road; and
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working in a north easterly direction in Exeter Road, so as to give effect to the alternative route as a consequence of item 1. above and allow access and egress for works vehicles.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 27th August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 27th August 2025 and 29th August 2025).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Exeter Road (part unaffected), North Street, Greville Road, Upton Road, Exeter Road (part unaffected)
