What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Littlemore, Herschel Crescent

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 28 July 2025

Coming into force: 4 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway restructuring works which are anticipated to be completed 15 August 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in that part of Herschel Crescent between Addison Drive to Bodley Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Cowley Road, Long Lane, Sheldon Way and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15973/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Footpath Leiden Road

Date of Order: 28 July 2025

Coming into force: 4 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of electrical maintenance works on behalf of SSEN which are anticipated to be completed on 1 September.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of the footpath from the rear of 39 Leiden Road to the rear of 57 Leiden Road. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath.

The alternative route will be signed locally. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T15491/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Windmill Road

Temporary Prohibition of Waiting

Date of Order: 28 July 2025

Coming into force: 4 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of footway and drainage repairs work which are anticipated to be completed 18 August 2025. This will operate between 07:00 and 19:00hrs.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit waiting in Windmill Road between the junctions of London Road and Old Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the prohibition is in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16088/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 18 August 2025

Coming into force: 26 August 2025

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway patching works which are anticipated to be completed 3 September 2025. This is a 24 hour road restriction.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Field Avenue. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Pegasus Road

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16138/AC)
