Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Lainesys Close, Marlborough; from its junction with North View Place to its junction with Coldharbour Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footways resurfacing and ironwork adjustment. Alternative route via North View Place – Coldharbour Lane – St Martins – Blowhorn Street and vice versa. B) Park Road (Part), Malmesbury; from its junction with Park Close for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction to enable Firmacore to carry out construction of site access, carriageway widening, new footway construction and associated utility connections for site. Alternative route via Park Road (unaffected length) – Old Alexander Road – Parklands – Sherston Road – Park Lane – Park Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. No pedestrian access will be maintained. This Order will come into operation on 25 August 2025 and the closure will be required until 20 October 2025. C) C87 (Part), Sopworth, Luckington and Alderton; from its junction with C68 to its junction with UC 838501 to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works and other associated works. Alternative route via C87 (unaffected length) – B4040 – C68 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 06 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. G) Quakers Walk, Hilmarton; from its junction with Quakers Lane to its junction with New Zealand to enable Wessex Water to carry out works to supply a new connection and other associated works. Alternative route via New Zealand – A3102 – Quakers Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 August 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. H) C101 (Part), Minety; from its junction with C99 for a distance of approximately 1.5km in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out cabling works to restore customer service and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 06 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 06 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. J) C35 (Part), Lydiard Tregoze; from its junction with The Street to its junction with North View Place – Lydiard Green – C414 – C25 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 28 April 2025 will now recommence on 04 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 15 August 2025. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction on the following length of road:

B4122 (Part), Sutton Benger; from outside its property known as Draycot Park Farm for a distance of approximately 197m in a south easterly direction to enable Vodafone to carry out carriageway defect repair works and other associated works. The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restriction will come into operation on 26 August 2025 and will be required for 3 days. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
