(STRYD TALBOT, MAESTEG) GORCHYMYN TRAFFIG DROS DRO 2025 RHODDIR HYSBYSIAD DRWY HYN fod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Prifyrdd ar gyfer Maesteg wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Trafg Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), heb fod yn llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, yn bwriadu creu Gorchymyn a fydd yn cyfwyno’r cyfyngiad dros dro a nodir yn yr atodlen isod. Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol am nad yw’r lôn gerbydau yn ddigon llydan i gynnal mynediad i gerbydau wrth ailosod wyneb y brifordd ac er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 17/08/2025 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am uchafswm o 18 mis neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau, p’un bynnag sydd gynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith arfaethedig yn cael ei wneud ar gyfer Adran 1 rhwng 0800am a 1700pm ddydd Sul 17 Awst 2025, dydd Sul 24 Awst 2025 a dydd Sul 31 Awst 2025 ac ar gyfer Adran 2 rhwng 0800am a 1700pm ddydd Sul 7 Medi 2025 a dydd Sul 14 Medi 2025. 

Atodlen - Ni chaif unrhyw berson achosi i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ar hyd: Adran 1 – Stryd Talbot, Maesteg o’r gyfordd â Castle Street i’r gyfordd â Church Road am bellter o oddeutu 55 metr. Adran 2 –Stryd Talbot o’r gyfordd â Church Road i’r gyfordd â Commercial Street am bellter o oddeutu 177 metr. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yw trwy Commercial Street, Bridge Street, Castle Street, Stryd Talbot ac i’r gwrthwyneb. Bydd y terfyn pwysau cerbydau ar hyd Bridge Street yn cael ei atal dros dro yn ystod amseroedd y cau.Bydd mynediad trwy ardal y cyfyngiad i’r Heddlu a’r Gwasanaethau Tân ac Ambiwlans wrth ymateb i argyfyngau. Cynhelir mynediad i gerddwyr i bob eiddo o fewn ardal y cyfyngiad ar hyd llwybrau a ddifnnir trwy gydol y cyfnod cau. Fodd bynnag, bydd y cyfyngiadau’n berthnasol dim ond ar adegau ac i’r graddau a ddangosir o bryd i’w gilydd ar arwyddion trafg a osodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyfredinol Arwyddion Trafg 2016. BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (TALBOT STREET, MAESTEG) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Maesteg in exercise of its powers under Secton 14(1) of the Road Trafc Regulaton Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notce to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restricton set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary due to insufcient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during carriageway resurfacing works and is in the interest of public safety. The Order will come into force on the 17/08/2025 and will contnue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or untl such tme as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is antcipated the planned works will be undertaken for Secton 1 between the hours of 0800am to 1700pm on Sunday 17th August 2025, Sunday 24th August 2025 and Sunday 31st August 2025 and for Secton 2 between the hours of 0800am to 1700pm on Sunday 7th September 2025 and Sunday 14th September 2025.

Schedule - No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along: Secton 1 – Talbot Street, Maesteg from its juncton with Castle Street to its juncton with Church Road for a distance of approximately 55 meters. Secton 2 – Talbot Street from its juncton with Church Road to its juncton with Commercial Street for a distance of approximately 177 meters. The alternatve route for vehicles is via Commercial Street, Bridge Street, Castle Street, Talbot Street and vice versa. A temporary suspension of the vehicle weight limit along Bridge Street will be in place during the tmings of the closure. Access will be provided through the restricton for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all propertes within the restricton will be maintained along defned routes throughout the period of the closure. The restrictons shall however only apply at such tme and to such extent as shall from tme to tme be indicated by trafc signs prescribed by The Trafc Signs Regulatons and General Directons 2016.
