Whiteford Avenue - Proposal To Construct Speed Cushions / Traffic Calming Features

What is happening?

WEST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL 
WHITEFORD AVENUE, BELLSMYRE NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO CONSTRUCT SPEED CUSHIONS / TRAFFIC CALMING FEATURES

West Dunbartonshire Council as directed under Sections 36 and 37 (1) of the Road Humps (Scotland) Regulations 1998 hereby indicate its proposal to construct Speed Cushions on Whiteford Avenue.

Speed cushions, with a maximum longitudinal length of 3.5m, 1.9m wide and a height of 75mm or thereby, are proposed to be constructed at the following locations.

On Whiteford Avenue 25m or thereby west of the junction with Penniecroft Avenue.

On Whiteford Avenue 79m or thereby west of the junction with Penniecroft Avenue.

On Whiteford Avenue 122m or thereby west of the junction with Penniecroft Avenue.

The main objective of the proposal is to reduce the speed of traffic on Whiteford Avenue with a view to improving general road safety. A plan showing detail of the proposal together with a plan are available for viewing on the Council website and are available for inspection during normal office hours Monday to Friday inclusive at the offices of:
