ORDER 2025
South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to :- Revoke No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am to 6pm on Grange Rd north side from its junction with Ellison St in an easterly direction for 95m and from a point 30m east of its junction with Walter St in an easterly direction for 20m and south side between Ellison St and the Layby; No Waiting 8am-6pm on Wylam St east side from its junction with Walter St to its junction with Grange Rd and west side from its junction with Grange Rd in a northerly direction for 15m and from its junction with Walter St in a southerly direction for 26m; No Waiting At Any Time on Grange Rd/Wilkinson Court/Viking Precinct-Footpath east and west side of the footpath which divides Grange Rd and joins the footpath adjacent to Wilkinson Court with the footpath adjacent to the Viking Precinct for its entire length to the end of the lay-bys and Introduce No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on Grange Rd north side from its junction with Ellison St in an easterly direction for 95m; from a point 50m west of its junction with Market Walk for 3m in a westerly direction then in a southerly direction to its southern kerb line; from a point 30m east of its junction with Walter St in an easterly direction for 20m and east side from its northern kerb line in a southerly direction for 15m and south side from its junction with Ellison St in an easterly direction for 75m; No Waiting At Any Time on Wylam St west side from its junction with Grange Rd in a northerly direction for 10m and from its junction with Walter St in a southerly direction for 26m and east side from its junction with Grange Rd in a northerly direction to its junction with Walter St; No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on Wylam St both sides from its junction with Grange Rd in a northerly direction for 10m and on Walter St from its junction with Grange Rd in a northerly direction for 15m. Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall at the address below. If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council’s Legal
