What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Various Locations, Misterton)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (BS25-230)

Notice Is Hereby Given that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Misterton in the District of Bassetlaw 

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. Station Street, Misterton - For its entire length.
b. Marsh Lane, Misterton - For its entire length
c. Wharf Road, Misterton - From its junction with Station Street to its junction with Wharf Close
d. Hillsyde Avenue, Misterton - From its junction with Station Street in a southerly direction for 40 metres

e. Hawthorn Croft, Misterton - From its junction with Station Street in a south westerly direction for 30 metres
f. Station Road, Misterton - From its junction with Station Street in an easterly direction for 40 metres
g. Fox Covert Lane, Misterton - From its junction with Station Street to its junction with Bramley Way

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

It Is Intended that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 hours until 06:00 hours only.
From Monday 4th August until Monday 18th August 2025.

And Notice Is Hereby Further Given that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Diversion for all Vehicles

A161 High Street - B1403 Church Street - B1403 Gringley Road, Misterton - B1403 Fountain Hill - B1403 Walkeringham Road Gringley on the Hill - B1403 Beacon Hill Road - B1403 Green Road - A631 Gainsborough Road Gringley on the Hill - A631 Gainsborough Road Beckingham - A161 Beckingham Road Beckingham - A161 Beckingham Road Walkeringham - A161 Stockwith Road Walkeringham - A161 Stockwith Road Misterton and vice versa

Diversion for Local Traffic

Fox Covert Lane - Grovewood Road - Gravelholes Lane - B1403 Church Street - B1403 Gringley Road, Misterton - B1403 Fountain Hill - B1403 Walkeringham Road Gringley on the Hill - B1403 Beacon Hill Road - B1403 Green Road - A631 Gainsborough Road Gringley on the Hill - A631 Gainsborough Road Beckingham - A161 Beckingham Road Beckingham - A161 Beckingham Road Walkeringham - A161 Stockwith Road Walkeringham - A161 Stockwith Road Misterton and vice versa

The Order will come into force on 4th August 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works;
