Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

Temporary Road Closure Order On Park Street, Derby

When: 01 September 2025 
Where: Park Street, Ramp outside No 12 for a distance of approximately 5 metres. 
Reason: Carriageway ramp repairs 
Alternative Route: Canal Street - Carrington Street - Wellington Street - Park Street and the same in the opposite direction

Temporary Road Closure Order On Beaumont Walk, Derby

When: 18 June 2025 to 30 November 2025 
Where: Beaumont Walk, at its junction with Blackmore Street No access to Grange Avenue 
Reason: Construction works 
Alternative Route: Pedestrian access via Blackmore Street - Coleridge Street - Grange Avenue - Beaumont Walk

Temporary Road Closure Order On Albert Street & Victoria Street, Derby

When: 18 August 2025 to 22 August 2025 (20:00 to 05:00 Daily - Overnight) 
Where: Albert Street, from its junction with Morledge and Tenant Street to its junction with Victoria Street, Cornmarket and St Peters Street, Victoria Street, from its junction with Albert Street, Cornmarket and St Peters Street to its junction with The Strand, St James Street and Wardwick. 
Reason: Construction and Planter work 
Alternative Route: Wardwick - Cheapside - Bold Lane - Jury Street - Walker Lane - Cathedral Road - Full Street - Corporation Street And Corporation Street - Derwent Street - Exeter Bridge - Derwent Street - St Alkmunds Way - Ford Street - Stafford Street - Uttoxeter New Road Roundabout - Curzon Street - Cheapside - The Strand

Temporary Road Closure Order On Moor End, Derby

When: 18 August 2025 to 25 August 2025 
Where: Moor End, from its junction with Stewart Close to outside number 22 - a distance of approximately 20 metres 
Reason: Drainage works 
Alternative Route: Moor End - Sancroft Road - Dale Road - Moor End and the same in the opposite direction

Temporary Road Closure Order On Willowcroft Road, Derby

When: 20 August 2025 to 21 August 2025 (Overnight only: 20:00 to 06:00) 
Where: Willowcroft Road, from its junction with South Avenue to its junction with Cambridge Street 
Reason: Bridge works 
Alternative Route: Vehicles under 7.5t: Willowcroft Road - Sitwell Street - Moor Street - Dale Road - Moor Lane - Green Lane - Bare Lane - Flood Street - Victoria Avenue - Derby Road - Nottingham Road - Willowcroft Road and the same in the opposite direction Vehicles over 7.5t: Sitwell Street - Moor Street - Dale Road - A6096 - A609 - A608 - A61 - The Pentagon - A52 Brian Clough Way - Spondon Roundabout - Derby Road - Nottingham Road and the same in the opposite direction

When: 08 September 2025 to 22 September 2025 
Where: Lindon Drive, at its junction with Shardlow Road 
Reason: Gas works 
Alternative Route: Lindon Drive - Elvaston Lane - Shardlow Road and the same in the opposite direction

Temporary Road Closure Order On Calvus Way, Derby

When: 25 August 2025 to 03 November 2025 
Where: Calvus way from its junction with Wyvern Way 
Reason: Traffic works 
Alternative Route: Wyvern Way - Stanier Way - Pullman Road - Pullman Business Park Access Road - Calvus Way (and the same in the opposite direction)

Temporary Road Closure Order On Pear Tree Street, Derby

When: 18 August 2025 to 22 August 2025 
Where: Pear Tree Street, from its junction with Princes Street 
Reason: Drainage works 
Alternative Route: Pear Tree Street - Portland Street - Harrington Street - Princes Street and the same in the opposite direction
