Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

 

Birling Road, Leybourne Chase, ME19 5HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water main works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Road, Leybourne Chase, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Bannister Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The one-way order on Birling Road will be suspended to allow access.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Road, A20 London Road, Hawley Drive, and vice versa.

 

Coldharbour Lane, Hildenborough, TN11 9LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water pipe repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coldharbour Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 12th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Old Coach House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Hatham Green Lane, Stansted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hatham Green Lane, Stansted, on or after 25th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Crab Dene. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plaxdale Green Road, Labour In Vain Road, A20 London Road, Ash Lane and vice versa.

 

Havelock Road, Tonbridge, TN9 1JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Havelock Road, Tonbridge, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 19, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lansdowne Road, Lodge Road, The Avenue and vice versa.

 

High House Lane, Hadlow, TN11 0AR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow overhead cable works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High House Lane, Hadlow, on or after 12th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Orchard House, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashes Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 High Street, Carpenters Lane and vice versa.

 

Lunsford Lane, Gighill Road & Kingfisher Road, Larkfield, ME20 6UR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow carriageway maintenance to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Lunsford Lane, Gighill Road & Kingfisher Road, Larkfield, on or after 12th August 2025 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

Lunsford Lane will be closed between the junctions of A20 London Road and Gighill Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only.

Gighill Road will be closed between the junctions of Lunsford Lane and Chaucer Way, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. 

Kingfisher Road will be closed at the junction with Lunsford Lane, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only.

To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Lunsford Lane and Gighill Road through traffic is via Gighill Road, Leybourne Way, New Hythe Lane, A20 London Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any Kingfisher Road through traffic is via Kingfisher Road, New Hythe Lane, A20 London Road, Lunsford Lane and vice versa.

 

Lunsford Lane, Leybourne, ME20 6UJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lunsford Lane, Leybourne, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 20 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 393. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Leybourne Way, Gighill Road, Lunsford Lane and vice versa.

 

Oldbury Lane, Ightham, TN15 9AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electricity supply connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oldbury Lane, Ightham, on or after 25th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Old Bury Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oldbury Lane, A25 Ightham Bypass, Spring Lane, Oldbury Lane and vice versa.

 

The Heath, East Malling, ME19 6JF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Heath, East Malling, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, New Road, Chapman Way, Winterfield Lane, Clare Lane, Broadwater Road, Pikey Lane, The Heath and vice versa.
