Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
B2050 Manston Road & Manston Court Road, Manston, CT12 5AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2050 Manston Road & Manston Court Road, Manston, on or after 13th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
B2050 Manston Road will be closed between the junctions of Manston Court Road and Preston Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Manston Road East, B2190 Spitfire Way, B2190 Un-named Road from Minster Road to Columbus Avenue, B2190 Minster Road, A299 Mount Pleasant, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Sevenscore Roundabout, A299 Hengist Way, A256 Canterbury Road West, A256 Haine Road, B2050 Manston Road and vice versa.
Manston Court Road will be closed at the junction of B2050 Manston Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Manston Court Road, Preston Road, B2050 Manston Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bath Place, Margate, CT9 1SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bath Place, Margate, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Bath Road, Dane Road, Grotto Hill and Bath Place.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Bath Place, Clifton Gardens, Northdown Road and Bath Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Clements Road, Ramsgate, CT12 6UF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clements Road, Ramsgate, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of A254 Margate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clements Road, Pysons Road, A254 Margate Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 13th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 5 Sevenscore Farm Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Edgar Road, Margate, CT9 2QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Edgar Road, Margate, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Northdown Road and St Pauls Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Northdown Road, Sweyn Road, B2051 Queens Parade, B2051 Ethelbert Crescent and Edgar Road.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via St Pauls Road, Sweyn Road and Northdown Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Liverpool Lawn, Ramsgate, CT11 9BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Liverpool Lawn, Ramsgate, on or after 12th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 11 to outside number 19, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Liverpool Lawn, Albert Street, Adelaide Gardens and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Market Place, Margate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Market Place, Margate, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Reading Street, Broadstairs, CT10 3BE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Reading Street, Broadstairs, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite number 48, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Reading Street, Callis Court Road, Grange Road, Beacon Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sea View Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sea View Road, Broadstairs, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Stanley Road and Kings Avenue, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stanley Road, Lindenthorpe Road, Kings Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Eastern Road, Ramsgate, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 59, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crescent Road, Grange Road, South Eastern Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tothill Street, Minster, CT12 4AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tothill Street, Minster, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Monkton Road and High Street, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Monkton Road, Monkton Street, Willetts Hill, A299 Canterbury Road West, Tothill Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Various Roads, Manston (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PROHIBITION OF PARKING & 20MPH & 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow Manston Air Show to take place, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Manston, on or after 16th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2050 Manston Road will be closed between the junctions of B2190 Spitfire Way and Esmonde Drive.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Manston Road, Shottendane Road, Manston Road and vice versa.
Manston Court Road will be closed between the junctions of B2050 Manston Road and Preston Road.
Laundry Road will be closed from the junction of Foxborough Lane to Minster Services.
Thorn Hill will be closed the entire length.
Way Hill will be closed the entire length.
Manston Road will have a prohibition of right turn imposed turning right onto B2050 Manston Road East.
B2050 Manston Road will have a mandatory 20MPH speed limit imposed between the junctions of The Meadows and B2050 Manston Road East.
B2050 Manston Road East will have a mandatory 20MPH speed limit imposed between the junctions of B2050 Manston Road and Manston Road.
Manston Road will have a mandatory 20MPH speed limit imposed from the junction of B2050 Manston Road to outside Rosemary Nursery.
B2190 Spitfire Way will have a mandatory 40MPH speed limit imposed the entire length.
B2190 Un-Named Road From Minster Road to Columbus Avenue will have a mandatory 40MPH speed limit imposed the entire length.
B2190 Minster Road will have a mandatory 40MPH speed limit imposed the entire length.
B2050 Manston Road will have a prohibition of parking imposed between the junctions of The Meadows and B2050 Manston Road East.
B2050 Manston Road East will have a prohibition of parking imposed between the junctions of B2050 Manston Road and Manston Road.
Manston Road will have a prohibition of parking imposed from the junction of B2050 Manston Road to outside Rosemary Nursery.
B2190 Spitfire Way will have a prohibition of parking imposed the entire length.
B2190 Un-Named Road From Minster Road to Columbus Avenue will have a prohibition of parking imposed the entire length.
B2190 Minster Road will have a prohibition of parking imposed the entire length.
Pedestrian, resident, and emergency access will be maintained during the works.
