Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden, TN12 9NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pumping station maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Goudhurst Road, Marden, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the pumping station, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 West End, B2079 Church Green, B2079 High Street, B2079 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Station Road, A229 High Street, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Camden Hill, A229 The Common, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, B2084 Chequers Road, B2079 North Road, B2079 Summerhill, B2079 Winchet Hill and vice versa.
Bower Mount Road, Maidstone, ME16 8AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Mount Road, Maidstone, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the Methodist Church. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bower Mount Road, Oakwood Road, A26 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
Buckland Hill & Buckland Road, Maidstone, ME16 0SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF NO RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Buckland Hill & Buckland Road, Maidstone, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Buckland Hill will be closed between the junction with A20 London Road and junction with St Peters Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The No Right Turn at the junction with A20 London Road will be suspended to allow access.
Buckland Road will be closed at the junction with Buckland Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway and St Peters Street.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via St Peters Street, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 The Broadway, A20 The Broadway, A20 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road and A20 London Road.
Dean Street, East Farleigh, ME15 0PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 12th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Horseshoes Public House, between the hours of 10:30 and 13:45 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2010 Lower Road, Dean Street and vice versa.
Dean Street, East Farleigh, ME15 0PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, East Farleigh, on or after 31st August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Horseshoes Public House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street and vice versa.
Greenhill, Staplehurst, TN12 0PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greenhill, Staplehurst, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 23, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Headcorn Road, Sandway, ME17 2NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water asset repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Sandway, on or after 25th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Old Woodyard. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Chegworth Road, A20 Ashford Road, East Street, Sandway Road and vice versa.
Love Lane, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Love Lane, Headcorn, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little East End Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Love Lane, Smarden Road, Love Lane and vice versa.
Plum Tree Lane, Stockbury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Plum Tree Lane, Stockbury, on or after 29th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Plum Tree Farm, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plum Tree Lane, West Wood Road, Hill Green Road and vice versa.
Stede Hill, Harrietsham, ME17 1NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow a new electric service to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stede Hill, Harrietsham, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Barn Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stede Hill, Pilgrims Way, Flint Lane, Stede Hill and vice versa.
Summerhill Road, Marden, TN12 9BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Summerhill Road, Marden, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Westlands Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Summerhill Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, Battle Lane, Summerhill Road and vice versa.
Tower Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tower Lane, Bearsted, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 30. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tower Lane, Roseacre Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Yeoman Lane, Tower Lane and vice versa.
Wierton Road, Boughton Monchelsea (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wierton Road, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 15th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of East Lodge, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wierton Hill, Hermitage Lane, Lucks Lane, Chart Hill Road, Amber Lane, Back Lane, Wierton Road and vice versa.
