ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (BRIDGE STREET, ST HELENS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF STOPPING EXCEPT Taxis) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be to:

  1. To prohibit any vehicle from stopping except licenced taxis on the northwestern side of Bridge Street from a point with its junction with Exchange Street to a point 42.0 metres south of its junction with Exchange Street at all hours on all days.

The Order will come into force from 31st July 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, or the earlier completion of the works proposed.

The reason for making this Order is to safely enable the town centre improvement works.
