THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS ECCLESTON STREET, ST HELENS) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2025)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 15th day of July, 2025, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle proceed in an Eastbound direction along Eccleston Street between Boundary Road and Westfield Street, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order will come into force on Monday 13th October 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take six weeks. The alternative route will be via A58 Westfield Street, A570 Kirkland Street and Boundary Road.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the installation of a new electricity cable.
