Droylsden Road, Holyoak Street and Newton Street - Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Loading, Loading Bay and Amendment
What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that Manchester City Council has made the CITY OF MANCHESTER (DROYLSDEN ROAD, HOLYOAK STREET AND NEWTON STREET, MILES PLATTING AND NEWTON HEATH) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, PROHIBITION OF LOADING, LOADING BAY AND AMENDMENT) ORDER 2025 Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to introduce:
1. No Waiting at Any Time (i) Holyoak Street, north side, from 39m west of Droylsden Road in a south westerly direction to 48.5m west of Droylsden Road; and (ii) Unnamed Access Road to the Residential Development on the North Side of Holyoak Street (located 41 metres west of Droylsden Road) - both sides, from Holyoak Street in a northerly direction for 3m.
2. No Waiting / No Loading at Any Time - Holyoak Street, north side, from Newton Street in an easterly direction for 15m.
3. No Loading at Any Time (i) Holyoak Street, south side, from 70m west of Droylsden Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of 15.5m (ii) Holyoak Street, the south side from a point 10 metres south west of Droylsden Road in a south westerly direction for 21m (iii) Newton Street, north-east side, from 10.5m north of Holyoak Street in a south easterly direction for 15m; and (iv) Oldham Road, south side, from 10m west of Newton Street to 10m east of Newton Street.
4. Goods Vehicle Loading Bay (at all times on all days) - Loading Limited to 30 Minutes, No Return within 2 Hours - Holyoak Street south east side, from 53m south west of Droylsden Road in a south-westerly direction for 12.5m. An existing Order has been amended to be consistent with the above. The Order was made on 25 July 2025 and will come into operation on 11 August 2025.
A copy of the made Order, a copy of the Order that has been amended and the plan may be inspected at Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 25 July 2025 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
