Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

DOVER AREA

Albert Road, Deal, CT14 9ZJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Albert Road, Deal, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Court Marsh Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Albert Road, Western Road, West Street, A258 London Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, CT13 0PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beacon Lane, Woodnesborough, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Drainless Road to outside Beech Cott, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beacon Lane, Foxborough Hill, Drainless Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Durlock Road, Staple, CT3 1JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Durlock Road, Staple, on or after 12th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Rookery, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Durlock Road, Lower Road, Fleming Road, Drainless Road, Beacon Lane, Marshborough Road, New Street, The Street, Guilton and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Gore Lane, Eastry, CT13 0LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gore Lane, Eastry, on or after 11th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 19, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gore Lane, Woodnesborough Lane, High Street, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Kingsdown Road, Walmer, CT14 7LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kingsdown Road, Walmer, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 52, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kingsdown Road, Granville Road, Liverpool Road, Clarence Road, The Beach and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Mill Lane, Preston, CT3 1HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Preston, on or after 15th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Homelea, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, The Street, Longmete Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Moat Lane, Ash (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Moat Lane, Ash, on or after 26th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Jasmine Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, New Street, Coombe Lane, Moat Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Northwall Road, Deal, CT14 6PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northwall Road, Deal, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 71, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Palm Tree Lane, Aylesham, CT3 3HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Palm Tree Lane, Aylesham, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 1 Listways Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Palm Tree Lane, Old Court Hill, Vicarage Lane, Church Street, Chapmans Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Queens Road, Ash, CT3 2AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queens Road, Ash, on or after 13th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 71 Chequer Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queens Road, Chequer Lane, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Rowling Road, Goodnestone, CT3 1PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rowling Road, Goodnestone, on or after 29th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 8 Lower Rowling Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rowling Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

St Peters Street, Sandwich, CT13 9BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Peters Street, Sandwich, on or after 27th August 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 10, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wingleton Lane, Ripple (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wingleton Lane, Ripple, on or after 28th August 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the track leading to Ripple Court Cottages for approximately 15m in a Westerly direction, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wingleton Lane, Pommeus Lane, Chapel Lane, Crooked S Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
