Hincaster, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Highway Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5071 HINCASTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C5071 Hincaster, from its junction with the C5074 Viver Lane, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 210 metres.
A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the C5074 Viver Lane, A65, C5075 and the unrestricted section of the C5071.

The Order will come into operation on 4th August 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 10 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
