Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

ASHFORD AREA

 

A262 Sissinghurst Road, Biddenden - Biddenden Tractorfest 2025. (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow the Biddenden Tractorfest 2025 event to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on part of A262 Sissinghurst Road, Biddenden, from 16th August 2025, for up to two days, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00, or until the event is complete.

The temporary 30 mph speed restriction on A262 Sissinghurst Road, Biddenden will be imposed between the junctions with Ongley Road and Hareplain Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Brissenden Green Lane, Bethersden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Brissenden Green Lane, Bethersden, from 13th August 2025, with estimated completion by 14th August 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Journeys End and Woodlands Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brissenden Green Lane, Woodchurch Road, A28 Ashford Road, Standard Lane and Brissenden Green Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Canterbury Road, Brabourne, TN25 6QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Canterbury Road, Brabourne, from 28th August 2025, with estimated completion by 29th August 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Manor Pound Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Canterbury Road, Plain Road, B2068 Stone Hill, Southenay Lane, Main Road, Swan Lane, Gibbons Brook, Swan Lane Service Road, Blind House Lane, Stone Street, Lymbridge Green, Stowting Hill, Stowting Court Road, Scots Lane, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Lane, Shadoxhurst, TN26 1LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, Shadoxhurst, from 15th August 2025, with estimated completion by 18th August 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Ensign and Red House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Lane, Woodchurch Road, Hornash Lane, Hamstreet Road, Birchett Lane, Longrope and Church Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Criol Lane, Shadoxhurst, TN26 1LJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Criol Lane, Shadoxhurst, from 15th August 2025, with estimated completion by 18th August 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance of Criol Farmhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Criol Lane, Magpie Hall Road, Tally Ho Road, Woodchurch Road, Bethersden Road and Criol Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Edinburgh Road, Ashford. (PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow traffic light repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Edinburgh Road, Ashford from turning left onto A292 Somerset Road, from 27th August 2025 for up to one evening, between the hours of 19:30 and 23:59, or until the works have been completed.

Traffic on Edinburgh Road will be temporarily prohibited from turning left onto A292 Somerset Road, as indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A292 Somerset Road, Mace Lane, (around roundabout and return) and Hythe Road.

 

Ox Lane, Tenterden, TN30 6NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Ox Lane, Tenterden, from 12th August 2025, with estimated completion by 14th August 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 5, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ox Lane, Swain Road, A28 Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pot Kiln Lane, Bethersden, TN26 3HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pot Kiln Lane, Bethersden, from 25th August 2025, with estimated completion by 27th August 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Odiam Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pot Kiln Lane, Bull Lane, A28 Ashford Road, A262 Biddenden Road, High Halden Lane, Tenterden Road, High Halden Road, Wagstaff Lane, High Halden Road From Pb To Pb and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Soleshill Road, Chilham, CT4 8JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Soleshill Road, Chilham, from 11th August 2025, with estimated completion by 15th August 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the properties Walnut Tree Cottage and Little Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Soleshill Road, Watery Lane and Stone Stile Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Green, Boughton Aluph, TN25 4HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow carriageway repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Green, Boughton Aluph from 29th August 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Wye Road and A251 Faversham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Green, Wye Road and A251 Faversham Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Pinnock, Pluckley. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Pinnock, Pluckley, from 13th August 2025, with estimated completion by 14th August 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance to Thorne Roughetts, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Pinnock, Rose Farm Road, Smarden Road and The Pinnock.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wagstaff Lane, Biddenden, TN27 8QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wagstaff Lane, Biddenden, from 13th August 2025, with estimated completion by 14th August 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance to Great Omenden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wagstaff Lane, Pook Lane, Smarden Road, Tilden Chapel Lane, Pook Lane Junction With Parish Boundary At Great Omenden Farm To Grigsby Lane and Wagstaff Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Westwell Lane, Westwell, TN26 1AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Westwell Lane, Westwell, from 29th August 2025, with estimated completion by 1st September 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to The Yellow Fisherman to outside number 9, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Westwell Lane, Wootton Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Maidstone Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
