Sherfield Road, Bramley, Basingstoke & Deane - Temporary Road Closure due to annual railway barrier maintenance
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Sherfield Road between its junction with Pheabens Field and its junction with Bramley Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sherfield Road, A33, Ringway North, A340, Bramley Road, Boar’s Bridge, Silchester Road, The Street.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Wednesday 20th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day and working between the hours 00:00-05:00).
