What is happening?
TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847
ORDER FOR THE PREVENTION OF OBSTRUCTION IN STREETS
COLDPLAY CONCERTS, KINGSTON UPON HULL
Notice is hereby given that on the 4th August 2025, the Kingston upon Hull City Council made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 for the purpose of preventing obstructions in the length of streets in the City of Kingston upon Hull hereinafter mentioned on the occasion of Coldplay Concerts being held at the Sewell Group Craven Park Stadium, from 8am on 18th August 2025 until 1am on 20th August 2025.
The Order:-
(a) prohibits any person (except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform) from driving, riding or propelling any vehicle or causing or permitting any vehicle to wait in or on that length of:-
Preston Road from Aldi exit to Stocksbridge Avenue, Annandale Road from Preston Road to Falkland Road, Falkand Road at Annandale Road (approx. 50m) to prevent access to Preston Road, Poorhouse Lane in its entirety to prevent access to the stadium, Wansford Grove at the junction of Marfleet Lane, Marfleet Lane from Acasta Way to No. 102 Marfleet Lane, No waiting/stopping order on Preston Road between Stocksbridge Avenue and Aldborough Grove, and No waiting order on Marfleet Lane in its entirety, between 8am on 18th August 2025 until 1am on 20th August 2025.
(b) requires any person directed or permitted by a police constable in uniform to drive, ride or propel a vehicle or to cause or permit a vehicle to wait on or in the said length of streets during the said hours on the said days to obey the directions of the said police constable and of any other police constable in uniform, and
(c) requires all persons present in the said length of streets during the said hours on the said days to comply with the directions of any police constable in uniform.
The purpose of these closures is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the entering and exiting of the public for the Coldplay Concerts being held at the Sewell Group Craven Park Stadium.
The Order does not apply to fire brigade vehicles, ambulance and police vehicles.
The penalty for an infringement of the Order is a fine upon conviction not exceeding Four hundred pounds.
A copy of the said Order is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Reception Office at the Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull.

WINCOLMLEE (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Wincolmlee, near PBS Construction, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to replace a leaking gas main.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
The Order will take effect on 14th August 2025, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
