ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(ELEPHANT LANE, THATTO HEATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2025)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 15th day of July, 2025, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle to proceed in either direction along Elephant Lane at its junction with B5413 Thatto Heath Road, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order will come into force on Monday 11th August 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take 17 days. The alternative route will be via B5413 Nutgrove Road, Nutgrove Hall Drive, Sherdley Road and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate gas mains works.
