Main Street, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5159 MAIN STREET, FLOOKBURGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U5159 Main Street, Flookburgh from a point adjacent to a property known as Sandgate, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 20 metres. There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 18th August 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
