(Boat Lane, Hoveringham - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Sewer Connection Works

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BOAT LANE, HOVERINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (N25-236)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Hoveringham in the District of Newark and Sherwood

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. Boat Lane, Hoveringham - From its junction with Lodgefield Lane to its junction with Main Street

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 06:00 hours Monday 11th August 2025
Until 17:00 hours Monday 25th August 2025 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

a. Boat Lane - Hoveringham Road - Main Street - Caythorpe Road - Station Road - Southwell Road - Nottingham Road - Beck Street - Station Road - Thurgarton Lane - Main Street - Boat Lane and vice versa

The Order will come into force on 11th August 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Terra Construction to carry out sewer connection works;
