New Road, Ulleskelf - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, New Road,
Ulleskelf, Order 2025, No. 286 We have made this Order to prohibit any
vehicle from using New Road, Ulleskelf for a temporary period (subject to
access to premises) between 28/07/25 & 18/08/25 between 07:30hrs to
17:30hrs, due to works to rectify a landslip, potential danger to the public.
However, the max duration of this Order is until 28/08/25. The closure
period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be

Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment
No Tbc, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire
Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2),
32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule
9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of
which will be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of
Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby) Consolidation
Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:-
Table - Removal of Waiting limited Sunday to Saturday 8.00 am to 6.00
pm to no longer than 45 minutes return prohibited within 1 hour
Tadcaster, York Road, South side from a point 110m east of Oxton Lane to
a point 170m east of Oxton Lane. A copy of the draft Order, together with a
map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for
proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton
& at Tadcaster Library, 8 Station Road, Tadcaster, LS24 9JG during normal
office hours from 31/07/25 to 22/08/25 & also viewed online at

proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing,
addressed to Area 7 Selby Highways Office, Canal Road, Selby, North

One Way Traffic, Howden Road, Barlby, Order 2025 Notice is hereby
given that on the 25/07/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order
under Sections 1(1) & 2(1) to (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 &
Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any
vehicle from proceeding along any length of road specified in column 2 of
the following table in a direction other than that specified in relation to that
length of road in column 3 of that table. One Way Traffic Restriction -
Howden Road, Barlby Howden Road, Barlby from the junction with Church
Lane, Eastbound until the junction with Pindars Way. A copy of the Order,
which comes into operation on 04/08/25, together with a map showing the
road affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Howden
Library & Community Hub, Howden Road, Barlby, YO8 5JE during normal
office hours from 31/07/25 until 05/09/25 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question the
validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it
is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any
Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the
Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 25/07/25 make application to the High
Court for the purpose.
