CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 VARIATION ORDER 10

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, have made the above-named Order.

The effect of the Order, which will come into force on 4th August 2025, will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing the following parking restrictions:

  1. No Waiting at Any Time on:

  • C239 Beaufront Woodhead Farm Junction to Fawcetthill Junction and U8174 Beaufront Woodhead Farm to Stagshaw Bank in Sandhoe.

  • C239 Oakwood Bank to Beaufront Woodhead Farm in Oakwood.

  • On sections of the U7070 Close House to Willow Burn in Hexham.

  • On sections of Hextol Terrace in Hexham.

  • On a section of Errington Place in Prudhoe.

  1. A prohibition of stopping on school entrance markings applying Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm on the U8174 Beaufront Woodhead Farm to Stagshaw Bank, Sandhoe.

The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the map-based schedule to the Order. A copy of the Order, together with the maps that form part of the Schedule to the Order and any other relevant documents, notices or orders as appropriate as well as a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order are available to view via or download on the NCC Website: https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/Highways/Roads/Traffic.aspx#4trafficregulationorders or can be requested by email to highwayprogrammes@northumberland.gov.uk, or may be inspected by appointment during normal office hours at County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made apply to the High Court for that purpose.
