Gillman Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Gillman Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.134) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 18th August 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
GILLMAN ROAD
From its junction with Havant Road to its junction with Copper Beech Drive.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 18th August 2025 to 29th August 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between Monday to Sunday 08:00 - 18:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Gillman Road, Evelegh Road, Galt Road, Havant Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
