Windsor Terrace, Temporary Road Closure Due To Sewer Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Windsor Terrace, New Kyo) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025
The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 19 metre length of Windsor Terrace, New Kyo to the rear of Numbers 14 to 17 Windsor Terrace to enable sewer repair works to be undertaken.
Throughout the period of the closure a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic to the front of Jubilee Terrace (C11 Shieldrow Lane).
The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on Monday 18/8/2025 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
