What is happening?

Somerset Council Bishops Hull Road, Taunton in the Parish of Bishops Hull (Temporary Left Turn Only) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that on the 25th day of July 2025 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 17th of July 2025, to introduce a temporary left turn only on the road specified in the Schedule below. This Order will come into operation on the 31st day of July 2025 and will remain In force for eighteen months. This restriction will come into operation on the 6th day of August 2025 between 0000 hours and 2359 hours for seven days a week. The restriction is in place to alleviate traffic congestion during the Wales and West Utilities works on Silk Mills. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Statement of reasons for making the Order a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which Is not attributable to such works.
