Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 25 July 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beech Close (D3852) Hersham as it extends from its junction with Hersham Road (A244) to its junction with Queensway North (D3849).
Alternative Route – Beech Close, Queensway North, Robinsway and A244 (Hersham Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas mains replacement and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 August 2025 for 5 weeks, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to properties within the closure, as well as for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Bury Street (D4016) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 25 July 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bury Street (D4016) Guildford as it extends the southern boundary of St Nicholas Church and the common boundary between the property known as “1 to 3 Bury Street” (also known as Bury House) and the property known as “5 Bury Street”.
Alternative Route – Bury Street, A3100 (Portsmouth Road), High Street, and Bury Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 August 2025 for 2 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to properties within the closure, as well as for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Shere Lane (C46) and The Spinning Walk (D226) Shere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Shere Lane (C46) Shere as extends from its junction with (X46) Pilgrims Way to its junction with (X46) Pathfields and (C46) Sandy Lane; (b) The Spinning Walk (D226) Shere as extends from its junction with (C46) Shere Lane and for a distance of 44 metres in an easterly direction.
Alternative Route: Sandy Lane, Shere Heath Road, Park Road, New Road, (A248) Sherbourne, (A25) Shere Road, Upper Street, Middle Street, and Shere Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate repairs to a retaining wall for, or on behalf of TGTM Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 33 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access to affected by this closure.
Trumps Green Road (C10) and Lyne Road (D3180) Virginia Water
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) Trumps Green Road (C10) Virginia Water as extends from its junction with (C127) Bridge Lane to its junction with (D3197) Beechmont Avenue; (b) Lyne Road (D3180) Virginia Water as extends from its junction with (C10) Trumps Green Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Carlton Cottage”.
Alternative Route: Bridge Lane, Lyne Crossing Road, Lyne Lane, (B389) Green Road, (B389) Sandhills Lane, (B389) Christchurch Road, (B389) Christchurch Roundabout, Wellington Avenue, and Trumps Green Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate spine cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists
Egham Hill (A30) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in that length of;
(a) Egham Hill (A30) footway Egham as extends from its access with the property known as “Royal Holloway University” and for a distance of 88 metres in a southerly direction; (b) that length of Egham Hill (A30) footway Egham as extends from its access with the property known as “The Packhorse” and for a distance of 70 metres in a northerly direction; (c) prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on the northbound carriageway in that length of Egham Hill (A30) Egham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The Packhorse” and for a distance of 70 metres in a northerly direction along Egham Hill.
This Temporary Order is required to allow replacement of telecommunication mast, including crane operation works, for, on behalf of Clearview Services Group.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 11 August 2025.
This temporary closure and restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs.
For sub-paragraph (a) above: Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists, will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative route for this closure. No sole access is affected by this closure.
For sub-paragraphs (b) above: Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B.
Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
Cliffe Rise (D5425) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the northbound carriageway of Cliffe Rise (D5425) Godalming.
Alternative Route: Cliff Rise, Cliffe Road, (A3100) Portsmouth Road, and Eashing Lane.
This Order is required to facilitate replacement of broken pipe works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to follow the diversion route.
No sole access is affected by this closure.
Holmbury Hill Road (D280) Holmbury St Mary
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Holmbury Hill Road (D280) Holmbury St Mary as extends from its junction with (D276) Holmbury Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Holmbury House”.
Alternative Route: Holmbury Road, (B2127) Ockley Road, (B2126) Holmbury Lane, (B2126) Miles Hill, (B2126) Horsham Road, Pitland Street, and Holmbury Hill Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new telecom utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion
route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) (a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Turners Mead (D905) Chiddingfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Turners Mead (D905) Chiddingfold.
This Order is required to facilitate mains water disconnection/connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
A246 Waterden Road, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of A246 Waterden Road, Guildford.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works near to the junction of A246 Waterden Road with A3100 London Road.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm on weekdays, with extended weekday working hours of 5pm to 9pm, and from 8am to 3pm on Saturdays, within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the
alternative route: – Northbound – Harvey Road, Bright Hill, Sydenham Road, Jenner Road, Epsom Road and London Road. Southbound – London Road, Epsom Road, Jenner Road and Harvey Road.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Alternative Route 3 (traffic for Milbourne Lane) – follow main diversion (Alternative Route 1) then head north on A307 High Street to A309 Scilly Isle roundabout, A309 Kingston Bypass eastbound, About turn at Claygate Lane roundabout, A309 Kingston Bypass westbound, D6835 Littleworth Road and C158 Milbourne Lane;
2. that length of D6851 Sandy Lane which extends from its junction with Miles Lane to its junction with Copsem Lane. It is anticipated that the closure will be in force 24 hours per day.

Stanley Hill (B3405) Pirbright
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stanley Hill (B3405) Pirbright as extends from the access for the property known as “Manyuema” to the access for the property known as “The Lodge”.
Alternative Route – B2012 (Gapemouth Road), Tunnel Hill Road and Grange Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate electrical works and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 August 2025 for 3 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stocton Road (D4005) Guildford as extends from its junction with Woodbridge Road (A322) to its junction with Stocton Close (X4005).
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water works and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 August 2025 for 2 nights, between the hours of 9.00pm and 5.00am.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sydenham Road (D4014) Guildford as extends from its junction with Bright Hill (D4014) to its junction with Brodie Road (D4014); and (b) prohibit the use of the footway adjacent to the length of road described in (a).
Alternative route – South Hill, Warwicks Bench, Warwicks Bench Road, Echopit Lane, Pilgrims Way, A281 (Shalford Road, Quarry Street and Millbrook), A322 (Onslow Street), A31 (Farnham Road), A322 (Bridge Street and Onslow Street), A246 (York Road), A3100 (London Road), A246 (Epsom Road) and Jenner Road. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 August 2025 for 2 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.

B368 Send Marsh Road, Ripley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of B368 Send Marsh Road, Ripley.
2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Send Marsh Road (B368) Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks and/or I&G Contractors to carry out gas mains installation and/or connection and/or maintenance works in B368 Send Marsh Road between B2215 Portsmouth Road and Manor Road.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 6 months of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Send Marsh Road, Send Barns Lane and Portsmouth Road.
D922 Ashtrees, Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D922 Ashtrees, Cranleigh.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Water Supply Surveys Limited to make new water and/or sewer mains installations and/or connections and/or maintenance works in D922 Ashtrees, Cranleigh between “No.3 Ashtrees” and “No.70 Portsmouth Road”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 12 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of marshals and/or by means of road plates. Alternative route: – Trelawne Drive, Hitherwood and Horsham Road.
Burnt Common Lane, Ripley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –
1. Prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of Burnt Common Lane, Ripley that extends from its junction with Eastfield Drive, southwards to the end of the road.
2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Burnt Common Lane (D960) Ripley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Brownes to carry out trunk main installation and/or connection and/or maintenance works
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 6pm, within 5 weeks of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 September 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via Rights of Way route 603 and the footway to A247 Clandon Road.
There is no applicable alternative route for vehicular traffic however no sole access will be affected; access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times from the northern end of Burnt Common Lane.
Claygate Lane (D6815) Thames Ditton
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on the south eastbound carriageway Claygate Lane (D6815) Thames Ditton as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.08 and No.10 Claygate Lane to a point in line with the common boundary between No.14 and No.16 Claygate Lane.
This Temporary Order is required to enable vehicles to turn safely in and out of site location opposite for, or on behalf of Trident Property Construction Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 25 August 2025.
This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs.
Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) the westbound carriageway of Portsmouth Road (A307) Esher as extends from its roundabouts with (A309) Scilly Isles Roundabout, and (A309) Kingston By-Pass and for a distance of 300 metres in a westerly direction; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Oxshott, Cobham, and Leatherhead (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2024” insofar as it affects the length of roads specified in this Notice.
Alternative Route: (A309) Scilly Isles Roundabout, (A309) Kingston By-Pass, (A243) Hook Road, (A243) Leatherhead Road, (A243) Kingston Road, (A244) Oxshott Road, (A244) Leatherhead Road, (A244) High Street, (A244) Warren Lane, (A244) Copsem Lane, (A244) Claremont Lane, (A307) High Street, and (A307) Portsmouth Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate the replacement of a telecommunication mast along Portsmouth Road for, or on behalf of Clearview and EE Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
No sole access is affected by this closure.
Wick Road (D3112) Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) Wick Road (D3112) Englefield Green as extends from its junction with (D3123) Blays Lane to its junction with (D3112) Wick Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Wick Road (D3112) Englefield Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety.
Alternative Route: Wick Road, (A30) London Road, (A328) St Judes Road, Bond Street, Kings Lane, and Wick Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate replacement of telecom pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 August 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
