Queens Drive, Temporary Road Closure Due To Ducting Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Taunton Temporary Closure of Queens Drive
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Queens Drive - from 43 metres south-east of the junction with Trull Road, south-eastwards for a total distance of 69 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out ducting works.
The Order becomes effective on 14th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 20th August 2025 and last until 20th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 -17:00 for a total of 9 hours. There is no alternative route for this closure.
