What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(SHELLEY WOODHOUSE LANE, SHELLEY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Shelley Woodhouse Lane, Shelley from its junction with Huddersfield Road for approximately 475 metres South PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Ponker Lane, Cumberworth Road, Huddersfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 18 August 2025 and remain in force until 12 September 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MOOR TOP ROAD, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Moor Top Road, Kirkheaton from Streetlamp no.1 to Streetlamp no.2 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Upper Heaton Lane, Bog Green Lane, Colne Bridge Road, Leeds Road, Southgate, Wakefield Road, Liley Lane, Bellstring Lane, Highgate Lane, Moor Top Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 21 August 2025 19:00 and remain in force until 22 August 2025 06:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CLOUGH ROAD, FLOCKTON, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Clough Road, Flockton, from its junction with Pinfold Lane to approximately 100 metres down from junction of Mill Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pinfold Lane, Barnsley Road, Bar Lane, Denby Dale Road, Woodhouse Lane, Ash Lane, Upper Lane, Church Street, Rectory Lane, Clough Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 19 August 2025 20:00 and remain in force until 22 August 2025 05:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CARRS ROAD, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Carrs Road, Marsden from its junction with Rose Mount Street, to its junction with May Deane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Meltham Road, Carrs Road, Manchester Road, Brougham Road, Peel Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 18 August 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 22 August 2025 17:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(DOBB TOP ROAD, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dobb Top Road, Holmfirth from its junction with Bankfield Road to its junction with Smithy Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Dobb Top Road, Dobb Lane, Ford Gate, Woodhead Road, Bank Lane, Smithy Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday 2 August 2025 and remain in force until 3 September 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

( HOLLY BANK ROAD, LINDLEY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Holly Bank Road, Lindley from a point outside property no. 10 Holly Bank Road to its junction with Lidget Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Holly Bank Road, Stanley Road, Daisy Lea Lane, Lidget Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 6 August 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 3 September 2025 18:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SAVILLE ROAD, SKELMANTHORPE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Saville Road, Skelmanthorpe from a point approximately outside property no. 18 Saville Road to a point approximately outside property no. 22 Saville Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Saville Road, Station Road, Commercial Road, Elm Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 5 August 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 11 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SCHOOL HILL, KIRKBURTON, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of School Hill, Kirkburton from its junction with Turnshaw Road to its junction with Huddersfield Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Turnshaw Road, George Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 4 August 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 15 August 2025 16:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SMITHS AVENUE, MARSH, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Smiths Avenue, Marsh, from a point approximately outside property no. 39 Smiths Avenue to a point approximately outside property number 41 Smiths Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Smiths Avenue, New Hey Road, Wellfield Road, Carr Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 4 August 2025 and remain in force until 6 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GREENHILL BANK ROAD, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Greenhill Bank Road, Holmfirth from a point outside property no. 80 Greenhill Bank to a point outside property no. 60 Greenhill Bank PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Greenhill Bank Road, Totties Lane, St George’s Road, Park Side, Scholes Road, Bank Street, Sheffield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 4 August 2025 and remain in force until 7 September 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(POLE GATE, SCAMMONDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pole Gate, Scammonden, from its junction with New Hey Road to its junction with Crimea Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pole Gate Branch, New Hey Road, Pole Gate, Quebec Road, Waller Clough Road, Mellor Brook, Highfield Road, Moor Side Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 4 August 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LOWER QUARRY ROAD, BRADLEY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lower Quarry Road, Bradley, from its junction with Cooper Bridge Road along Lower Quarry Road to approximately past the Mill PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No diversion required - road is a dead end.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Sunday 3 August 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HUD/169/10 CASTLE HILL, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of HUD/169/10 Castle Hill, Huddersfield from its junction with Castle Hill Side to a point approximately just past Castle Hill Tower PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.

Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via Footpath HUD/169/50, footpath HUD/169/60, footpath HUD/171/10, Castle Hill Side and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 7 August 2025 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 17 July 2025 and will remain in force until 26 September 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 6 months if necessary).

(BRIDGE LANE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bridge Lane, Holmfirth from a point approximately opposite property no.10 Bridge Lane to a point approximately near property no.12 Bridge Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bridge Lane, Station Road, Town Gate, Victoria Street, Huddersfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 18 August 2025 and remain in force until 19 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
